The Taaibos Bush Lodge is the result of our love for South Africa and the bush. Let us quickly introduce ourselves. We are Pepijn Werkman and Jeroen Dijk, originally from Rotterdam – The Netherlands. We have been visiting South Africa for the last 18 years and really fell in love with the rainbow nation the first time we set foot in the country. Immediatly it felt like coming home. A remarkable sensation when visiting a faraway country for the first time.
In the years that followed we travelled through every province, visited almost every national park in the country but somehow always ended our trip in our favourite area: around Kruger National Park. Back in The Netherlands we were the proud owners of one of the best dog-hotels in the country: Hond Centraal. When the opportunity came to buy a piece of land in our beloved Hoedspruit, we immediatly started planning and dreaming about creating our own bush lodge.
In february 2022 we bought our piece of land in the Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate. We then started designing everything and making plans, 4 months later bush clearing started and we were able to start building. Our vision is to offer our guests a real bush experience in a comfortable way with loads of privacy. Just the way we like our holidays ourselves. We now live in Hoedspruit permanently after we sold our company in Rotterdam, living our dream!
The nice thing of the Taaibos Bush Lodge is that we are located in the middle of the bush, but at the same time close to town with all it’s facilities. With our combined passion for South Africa, hospitality and nature we hope to give you a great experience in our little private piece of paradise.
